How do I improve accuracy when taking a measurement with the wearable?

  1. Moisten skin for better conductivity for ECG.
Before taking a measurement, slightly moisten the bottom electrodes and the side electrode with water (or slightly moisten your wrist and finger that will be in contact with the electrodes.) Since ECG measures the electric activity of the heart, having slightly  moist skin increases conductivity which helps the wearable pick up on these signals and provide more accurate estimations.
  1. Electrodes and sensors need moderate pressure with your skin to get clear signals.
Ensure the wearable is not too loose or too tight on your wrist; the band should be tight enough to not move around on your wrist but not too tight as to cut off blood circulation or feel uncomfortable. The wearable band should be close-fitting so that the electrodes/sensors should be fully touching your wrist.  Also, do not press too hard when taking a measurement because it can skew PPG signals.
  1. Stay still for the duration of the measurement.
Staying still will help the wearable get clear signals. Sit down comfortably, relax, and avoid talking while taking measurements.
  1. Calibrate your wearable.
Calibrate the wearable before first use. It is recommended to recalibrate regularly and every time after your wearable completely runs out of battery and shuts down, or if you have undergone significant lifestyle changes.
